Strengths: runs on AAA batteries that are easily purchased and replaced and they last about a month. Most color PDA's need to charge and the battery lasts only a few hours
It has everything that you will ever need in a PDA. 8 megs is plenty of memory using the Palm platform. With MS pocket PC this would load about 1 game. Daily, I load my email, daily newspaper and weather and 5 other sites for free using my current internet service. I have 5 books loaded including the entire scriptures. I have downloaded a scientific calculator for free, also chess, checkers and...
Strengths: easy to use, expandable, low price
Weakness: gray scale & not wireless
My first PDA and I love it. I did not want to expend too much money; but I wanted to have it all and I got it with this baby. If I would had another $80, I would have bought a color Sony Clie. However, for the price, this PDA is the best buy out there.
Strengths: Great price - $170. Solid entry level PDA. 8 MB - not a wimpy 2 MB.
If you're looking for a great entry level PDA this is the best bang you can get for your hard earned bucks. Sure there are better PDAs -- at a MUCH higher price. If you don't need color and a lot a frills you can't go wrong with this one. It includes an impressive set of built-in applications and is compatible with thousands of freeware and shareware applications. I've already installed two...
Strengths: affordable, clear display, fast, reliable.
Weakness: back lit display only readable in pitch black, somewhat big and heavy, plastic cover is cumbersome to take on and off.
Functional PDA, but weaknesses make it inconvenient to take it with you wherever you go.
Handspring Visor Deluxe 8MB-RAM 160 x 160 PDA
Strengths: No frills. Everything loads quickly. Never crashes. AAA batteries easy to replace. Rechargeables work just as well. Works great with basic Outlook functions.
Weakness: No color. Cannot handle higher end programs. No Word or Excel programs. No built-in wireless. Graphics are very weak.
I have had this PDA for 3 years now. I bought it for $90. As a pilot, I need to have special aviation tools. The tools are available everywhere mostly for free and they work great. I even have Acrobat Reader and various games installed. I download my email and news every morning. I use it as my daily planner. It interacts great with Outlook XP. Very basic features and easy to use. I wouldn't use...
